Just being a mother is a full time job and for the mothers who have chosen to stay at home, there is a deep respect and admiration for you and what you are accomplishing by staying at home with your children. Being a stay at home mom has a tremendous effect on the upbringing of your child. The child has an instant comfort at any age that there will always be someone there writhing for them when they get home. there is also a sense of organization in the house as mom is always preparing for the next day and providing for the immediate and long term needs of the children. Even something as simple as laying out clothes and checking homework can help ensure a sense of stability and structure. Furthermore, The mom is indirectly teaching their child to be organized as well as how to be a care taker and nurture to there future children. However, perception is reality and it can be perceived that the stay at home mom is weaker in character because it seems as if all she is capable of is being a house keeper. Sadly, this may even encourage little boys to look at women as inferior and little girls to look at them as the total worth of a woman. While no one would believe this to be true again, perception is reality.
What does the stay at home mom do with her time? When all the kids are gone and the husband is at work, is the stay at home mom only watching soap operas and home shopping network. What kind of example is she really setting for her children if all she is to them is a glorified house keeper? It is the endurance of mothers like these that raise the future leaders of the free world. However, there could be an issue with the way it leaves a child needing a mentor and not being able to find one in their mother because she may be to busy or distracted by her daily routine of work and home.
