This Shabby Chic birthday party is simply elegant. The party features crisp white backgrounds with pastel pinks, blues,red, and floral patterns lighting up the space. The mother of the child was inspired by these different colors and patterns and presented them to the hostess on a inspiration board for the planner to use as inspiration. I must note I love all the floral decorations. The decorations are featured everywhere, They are featured on the bottoms of the drinking glasses provided, and make appearances on the flags attached to the drinking straws in the cups. The Banner on the food table, displays floral and pink triangle cutouts as well. The floral patterns also appear in the darling macaroons. Not only are they simply delicious, they are beautifully decorated.
Another noteworthy element are the fresh flowers that decorate the space. Pink roses serve as decorative centerpieces. There are also white roses, with blue flowers about the table as well. Red is sprinkled throughout the space. The punch bowl features a red punch. The cupcake centerpieces on a white cake holder, and centered on a bed of red circular candies. There are also some red balloons decorating the space, accompanying pink and blue ones.
The cake is the most interesting piece of the decorating puzzle, at this party. The cake is three tiers high. The background of the first two feature white fondant. The bottom tier is dawned in pink bows that cascade down the cake. The second tier of the cake features a banner similar to that on the food table, across the top.The bottom of the tier features a floral ribbon, tied into a big bow around the front. On top of the cake sits a baby girl and the number one. Simply adorable for a one year old's birthday celebration.
