LADYBUG THEMED BABY SHOWER IDEAS
When planning a baby shower for a friend things may get more stressful as the deadline approaches. The key to a good baby shower is planning, organization and a theme so that you don’t have to deal with the specific details of everything. If everything has the same theme than all you need to do is find all of the items in your theme. At most party stores you can find almost anything in your theme.
The ladybug theme is very cute. One great thing about it is that it is gender neutral and can be used for either sex. This is especially important if the parents don’t want to know the sex until the big day.
The first thing is to get a guest list together. You can invite anyone you think she would want to be there. Whether or not you allow men to come is a personal choice. Just try to do what you think she would want.
Once you know everyone who will be invited to the shower you can send out the invites. There are so many sites that will do any theme invitation that you want and party stores have a lot of choices too. If you can’t find them in a store than you can definitely get them on the net. Be sure to include information they need. Not just times, dates and locations but if it is a surprise shower, send out the invites early and make sure everyone knows not to spill the beans. Also, make sure none of her other friends or family members are planning a shower before you begin. This can save a lot of drama.
Because the party has a strict theme, getting supplies is easy. Ladybug cups and plates should be easy enough to find. Even ladybug themed decorations are usually there. If you can’t find those, than there is an easy fix. Get yourself some heavy card stock paper and print out your own homemade decorations on your home computer and cut out the extra space. A little double sided tape will take care of the rest.
Again, organizational skills are the key to a great baby shower. Make a list of all of the things you need, cups, plates, streamers, a banner, balloons and whatever you are going to have. Make sure everything you will need for the day is on that list. Make a second list of tasks that need completing. A lot of this will overlap but better safe than sorry. For example, if cups are on the first list than pick up cups will be on the other. There will be things on the second list that do not pertain to the first at all, like getting her to the destination, or out of her place for long enough to decorate. Make sure you have everything covered and written down. Also, be sure to check of or cross out completed tasks so you don’t get confused and so you can see your progress.
Remember, just because you are her best friend or her mother or what have you, doesn’t mean that all of this falls solely on your shoulders. Get other friends and family to help out. Have other people pick up a few things or help decorate. Not only will this lessen the burden on you, it will also make everyone else feel more included so it is a win/win. If you do all of this than your shower should go off without a hitch. Just remember to have some fun too once all the planning is over. Just because you planned it doesn’t mean you don’t partake!
