One of the best options for when you are planning a baby shower for baby girl is the ladybug shower theme, particularly if you plan to have it in the garden or outdoor picnic. If you will choose this theme you can use shower tableware with classic black and red color scheme which is most of the time associated with ladybugs.

It does not matter which color scheme you choose, just carry the theme with the use of decorations and party food well. For example, you can make a red punch with black ice cubes to produce polka dots in the punch. Another fun option would be serving large strawberries decorated with chocolate dots. Cupcakes which are frosted with red or pastel icing and topped with dark chocolate chips are perfect for dessert. 
If you are serving appetizer then a tomato lady bug biscuit would be perfect! You would need your homemade cream cheese or Philadelphia cream cheese from supermarket, ritz biscuits, black color paste, cherry tomatos, olives and chives. Cut the tomato in quarter and place one quarter for each ladybug wing. Use half olive as ladybug head with two chives which is for the antennas inserted into the olive. Use black paste coloring for the spots on the wings.
